The idea for Opendrawer came from a serendipitous conversation between Robyn Steel-Stickland and Prue Barridge. It was about a dream that each of them had. The dreams were so similar that they joined forces to make them a reality.
In 2014, Prue left Opendrawer to pursue life and other interests, while Robyn continues the journey with a new artistic and talented team. Join us on this creative adventure.
We invite you to open your creativity by joining one of our workshops: felt making, machine & hand sewing (basic skills through to creative applications), machine embroidery, book making, knitting and crocheting, dyeing, drawing, jewellery making, paper sculpture, art & design courses, kids classes and more. We love to take expressions of interest, so let us know if there is something you want to learn so that we can help to facilitate your desire to learn.
Creative Birthday Parties for the young and the young at heart are always a hit and Hens nights are popular. We will design a craft project for your group, no matter what the age of your party guests.
Come and visit us now and join with other like minded people who come together at Opendrawer to make and share ideas through Sewing Circles and Playdays. Our class rooms can be hired by groups and individuals for their own activities and meetings.
At Opendrawer you will have a truly unique experience.
